On Saturday May 14th 10pm-midnight, Nicholas Russell and band will be doing a live performance on the "Dawghouse" - a feature of KSER 90.7FM in Everett, Washington. You'll hear acoustic performances of the debut cd, some new songs, and some interviews.

Kenny is now rehearsing with the Nicholas Russell band as bass player and will be appearing at live shows soon. Ken is perhaps better known as the singer of "Maiden Seattle", an Iron Maiden tribute band. In addition to singing and playing bass, Kenny is first and foremost an awesome drummer who has played all around town for many acts including the legendary Charles White blues band. In fact, Ken's drum kit is actually being played by Kevin Hammond on many of the tracks on the NR CD. We welcome Kenny and look forward to putting his many talents to work.

The music video for the Nicholas Russell song "I Saw You" has been picked up in the rotation of music videos in select department stores including most Western US Macy's locations. You'll see the video play in the Young Men's department every two hours or so during the month of March. So go buy some jeans and watch some TV!

The video was created by Grammy Nominated Director, Michael Boydstun. Boydstun’s vision of a stormy and hard-to-navigate emotional landscape was captured with trick lighting effects, fast cars and gusts of ethereal images. The video was created using HDTV 24P Cine/Alta cameras, the same type that were used to shoot the last 2 Star Wars movies. The result is a video that measures up to anything you see on MTV – enjoy!

Former IVAN frontman Nicholas Russell has been busy this last year, recording his debut self-titled CD and signing with Pilato Entertainment in New York. He’s put a band together and they’re out to play shows in the Seattle area before showcasing to labels.

The lineup for the Nicholas Russell band has finally solidified. Ex-IVAN drummer Kevin Hammond, Donny Evola on Lead Guitar, John Case on bass, and Kel O'Hanlon on percussion, flute, & keys. Everyone sings backup vocals. The band is currently rehearsing for their first show in December 2004.
The new self-titled CD has been mastered and will be on sale on a limited basis online and at shows. Wider distribution is in the works. We'll let you know when you can get a copy.

Nicholas Russell has signed an exclusive management contract with the New York-based Pilato Entertainment Group. Spearheaded by manager and producer Bruce Pilato, Pilato Entertainment works with (or has worked with) several platinum level recording acts, including Emerson, Lake & Palmer; Foreigner; Sex Pistols founding member, Glen Matlock; Asia; Genesis member, Anthony Phillips; and The Tubes. Pilato Entertainment also oversees a small but viable roster of young acts including British pop vocalist Caroline Coupé; NY's power pop trio, 7 Head Division; and singer Jessi Hamilton.
Nicholas Russell has just finished recording his debut CD. The tracks are undergoing final mix at Victory Studios in Seattle and the finished product will be released in September, 2004.
The songs feature a new approach to Russell's music, with an emphasis on vocals and honest, detailed production.
A lot of the recording is performed by the multi-instrumentalist himself, but the recording also features former members of his previous projects, IVAN and GODOT. Ex-IVAN drummer, Kevin Hammond, featured on most of the tracks, is planning on joining Russell for upcoming live shows this fall.
